Blunt had a three-year relationship with Canadian singer Michael Bublé. They met in Melbourne backstage at the Australian television Logie Awards in 2005 and later shared a home in Vancouver, Canada. They broke up in 2008.
In November 2008, Blunt began dating American actor John Krasinski. On 10 July 2010, they married in Como, Italy.
Blunt has been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Her sister Felicity, who works as a literary agent, became engaged to actor Stanley Tucci in 2011 after the pair were introduced by Emily.Tucci and Felicity Blunt later married. Her brother Sebastian is an actor too.
